Cucuteni pendulum wall clock by mary potts
Cucuteni was the name given to the culture whose artifacts were found in this region of Romania. The word comes from the Romanian word for hemlock. I’m fascinated by the swirl motifs found painted on Cucuteni pottery dating from the Neolithic Period. The people of the Cucuteni region appear to have had an egalitarian society.

This one-of-a-kind art clock is a collaboration between my mother-in-law and I - she’s a brilliant flower artist. The clock features 3 silver metallic, flowery squares on a black background with a circle design painted on the left side. Other accents include a hammered copper swirl and decoupaged designs on recycled paper. A small black and taupe circle pendulum swings gently at the bottom. You can find it here.
